অন্ধ্র প্রদেশ হল ভারতের২৮টি রাজ্যের একটি। এই রাজ্য ভারতের দক্ষিণ পূর্ব উপকূল অঞ্চলে অবস্থিত। এই রাজ্যের আয়তন ১,৬০,২০৫ কিমি(৬১,৮৫৫ মা)। এটি আয়তনের হিসেবে ভারতের সপ্তম বৃহত্তম রাজ্য। ২০১১ সালের জনগননা অনুসারে, অন্ধ্র প্রদেশের জনসংখ্যা ৪৯,৩৮৬,৭৯৯। জনসংখ্যার হিসেবে এটি দেশের বৃহত্তম রাজ্য।

সাঁচী স্তূপ অন্ধ্র প্রদেশ এর একটি পর্যটন কেন্দ্র, পূর্ব ঘাট পর্বত মালা নাল্লামালা বনাঞ্চল, উপকূলীয় সমভূমি এবং গোদাবরী ও কৃষ্ণানদীর বদ্বীপ অঞ্চল এই রাজ্যের প্রধান ভৌগোলিক বৈশিষ্ট্য। প্রচুর ধান উৎপন্ন হয় বলে এই রাজ্যকে "ভারতের চালের ঝুড়ি" বলা হয়। তেলেগু এই রাজ্যের সরকারি ভাষা।এটি ভারতের একটি ধ্রুপদি ভাষা। সাংস্কৃতিক দিক থেকেও এই রাজ্য বেশ সমৃদ্ধ। তিরুমালা মন্দির সহ এখানে অনেক দ্রষ্টব্য স্থান রয়েছে।
