 কর্ণাটক :-দক্ষিণ পশ্চিম ভারতের একটি রাজ্য। ১৯৫৬ সালের ১ নভেম্বর রাজার পুনঃ গঠন বলে এই রাজ্য  স্থাপিত হয়। রাজ্যটির আদি নাম ছিল মহীসূর রাজ্য। ১৯৭৩ সালে রাজ্যের নাম বদলে রাখা হয় কর্নাটক।

মহীসূর প্যালেশ:-

কর্ণাটকের পশ্চিমে আরব সাগর, উত্তর-পশ্চিমে গোয়া, উত্তরে মহারাষ্ট্র, পূর্বে অন্দ্রপ্রদেশ দক্ষিণ-পূর্বে তামিলনাড়ু এবং দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমে কেরালা  অবস্থিত। রাজ্যের মোট আয়তন ১,৯১,৯৭৬ বর্গকিলোমিটার ( ভারতের মোট ভৌগোলিক আয়তনের ৫.৮৩%)। কর্ণাটক আয়তনের হিসেবে ভারতের অষ্টম বৃহত্তম এবং জনসংখ্যার হিসেবে ভারতের নবম বৃহত্তম রাজ্য। এই রাজ্যে ৩০টি জেলা রয়েছে। রাজ্যের সরকারি তথা সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ মানুষের ভাষা কন্নড়।

কর্ণাটক দুটি প্রধান নদী অববাহিকায় অবস্থিত। রাজ্যের উত্তরে রয়েছে কৃষ্ণা ও তার উপনদীগুলির (ভীমা,ঘটপ্রভা,বেদবতী, মালপ্রভা, ও তুঙ্গভদ্রা)। দক্ষিণে রয়েছে কাবেরী, ও তার উপনদীগুলির (হেমাবতী, শিমশা, অর্কবতী, লক্ষ্মণতীর্থ ও কবিনী) অববাহিকা। এই নদীগুলি পূর্ববাহী। সব কটিই বঙ্গপোসাগরের পড়েছে।

বেঙ্গালুরু:-

রঙিন শহর বেঙ্গালুরু। কর্ণাটক প্রদেশের রাজধানী। ২০১১ সালে ভারতের আদমশুমারি অনুযায়ী শহরটিতে ৮ মিলিয়ন মানুষ বসবাস করেন। ৩০০ একরের কিউবন পার্ক, মহীশুরের হায়দার আলীর শাসনামলে ১৭৬০ সালে নির্মিত লালবাগ বোটানিক্যাল গার্ডেন, বানারঘাটা ন্যাশনাল পার্ক, ফ্রিডম পার্ক, লুম্বিনি গার্ডেন, বেঙ্গালুরু প্যালেস, টিপু সুলতানের বাসভবন, ইসকন মন্দিরসহ আরও অনেক দর্শনীয় স্থান রয়েছে শহরটিতে। 

কুর্গ:-coorg

কর্ণাটকের কুর্গ শহরকে ‘ভারতের স্কটল্যান্ড’ বলা হয়। নাগোরহোল ন্যাশনাল পার্ক এখানকার প্রণিধানযোগ্য দর্শনীয় স্থান। বাইলাকুপে আশ্রম শহরটির অন্যতম বড় স্থাপনা হিসেবে সমাদৃত। পাহাড়ের ভেতর মনোমুগ্ধকর জলপ্রপাত দেখার জন্য বেশিরভাগ দর্শনার্থীকে শহরটিতে ভ্রমণ করতে দেখা যায়। 

হাম্পি:-Hampi

জাতিসংঘের ইউনেস্কো ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজ স্থাপনা হিসেবে স্বীকৃত কর্ণাটকের হাম্পি শহর। বিজয়নাগরা সাম্রাজ্যের বহু স্থাপনাও এ শহরে রয়েছে। এছাড়া প্রায় ৫০০ প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক নিদর্শন রয়েছে এখানে। এর মধ্যে মানকি মন্দির, ভিরুপক্ষ মন্দির, প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক জাদুঘর ও বিজয় ভাটালা মন্দির উল্লেখযোগ্য। 

বাদামি:-Badami

কর্ণাটকের বাদামি শহর জাতিসংঘের ইউনেস্কো ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজ স্থাপনা হিসেবে স্বীকৃতিপ্রাপ্ত। বিশেষ করে বাদামি দুর্গ, বুদ্ধ-গুহা ও ভূতনাথ মন্দিরের জন্য জনপ্রিয়। দুর্গা মন্দির, ল্যাড খান মন্দির ও আইহোলের প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক মন্দিরে ইতিহাস-সচেতন দর্শনার্থীরা ভ্রমণ করেন। বিশেষভাবে আকর্ষণীয় স্থান ভিরুপক্ষ মন্দির, পাপানাথ মন্দির গলগনাথ আশ্রম। 

ক্যাবিনি:-kabini forest

ক্যাবিনি নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত শহরটি। ছবির মতো শহরটি দেখার জন্য উন্মুখ হয়ে থাকেন বিশ্বের নানা প্রান্তের মানুষ। নদীতে নৌকায় করে ঘোরার সুযোগ রয়েছে। প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য দেখার জন্য এখানে ভ্রমণ করেন দর্শনার্থী। নৌকায় বসেই রয়েছে ছবি তোলার সুযোগ। 

জগ জলপ্রপাত:-Jog falls

ভারতের অন্যতম বড় জলপ্রপাত এটি। বিশ্বের নানা প্রান্ত থেকে মানুষ এখানে আসার জন্য মুখিয়ে থাকেন। জগ জলপ্রপাত প্রকৃতি প্রেমী ও অ্যাডভেঞ্চার প্রিয় দর্শনার্থীদের চুম্বকের মতো টানে

ম্যাংগালুরু:-Mangaluru

কর্ণাটকের উল্লেখযোগ্য সমুদ্রসৈকত ম্যাংগালুরু। সমুদ্র প্রেমী মানুষের কাছে জনপ্রিয় স্থান। মার্বেল পাথরের তৈরি অনেক মন্দিরও রয়েছে এখানে। সনাতন ধর্মাবলম্বীরা এখানে প্রতিনিয়ত উপাসনা করেন। এছাড়া সমুদ্রসৈকতের পাশে বিভিন্ন সামুদ্রিক মাছ পাওয়া যায়, যা বেশ সুস্বাদু। 

কারওয়ার:-karwar

ম্যাংগালুরুর মতো কারওয়ারও একটি সমুদ্রসৈকত। দর্শনার্থীরা একে মাজালি সমুদ্রসৈকত নামে চেনেন। এতে কুরুমগাদ দ্বীপ ও সাদাশিবগাদ দুর্গে ভ্রমণ করারও ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে। 

গোকর্ণ:-Gokarna

প্রকৃতি-প্রেমী মানুষের কাছে গোকর্ণ বেশ পরিচিত। মনোহরী প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যে দর্শনার্থীরা বরাবরই মুগ্ধ হন। মহাবালেশ্বর মন্দিরসহ আরও অনেক মন্দির এবং প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক নিদর্শন রয়েছে এই গোকর্ণতে। এই সমুদ্রসৈকত নৌকা ভ্রমণ ও প্যারাইসেইলিং প্রেমীদের কাছে বেশ জনপ্রিয়।
